Ahmed Fawaz (born August 1, 2001) is an Egyptian singer, songwriter, and visual consultant. He is known for his diverse musical style and experimental approach to blending various contemporary genres, including hip-hop, rap, R&B, jazz, and indie music, alongside modern Egyptian pop. His style is characterized by its fluidity and ability to move between different Arabic dialects and diverse rhythmic patterns such as trap and Afro-rap, making him one of the rising young voices in the independent music scene. Growing up and education

Ahmed Mohamed Fawaz Abdel Mabdi was born in Nag Hammadi, Qena Governorate, in Upper Egypt. He grew up in a local environment characterized by cultural and social diversity, which contributed to shaping his early artistic awareness and inspiring him to choose songs that reflected this blend. He showed a remarkable interest in voice and vocal performance from childhood; in his early stages, he relied on self-imitation and extensive listening to develop his vocal abilities and train them independently, away from formal academic institutions.

Artistic career

Ahmed Fawaz's artistic journey began with spontaneous and irregular performance experiments through which he sought to explore his vocal abilities. His first step towards formal professionalism came through his frequent visits to the Nag Hammadi Cultural Palace, where this institution provided him with the opportunity for direct interaction with local musicians and to learn the fundamentals of the musical scale, the rules of rhythm and composition, thus moving him from the amateur stage to artistic foundation.

His time studying and living in university housing in Sohag Governorate marked a radical turning point in his career. Ahmed Fawaz became involved with a youth community interested in alternative and independent music, and began developing concepts of co-production and studio recording.

At this stage, he met the singer and rock 'n' roll musician Ramez, with whom he formed an experimental duo. This collaboration opened new horizons for Fawaz, allowing him to explore intense vocal performance styles and blend rock with Eastern influences. This period resulted in the release of his first experimental works, marking his official entry into the music studio, most notably the songs "Prova" and "Mataris."

AhmedFawaz was influenced by diverse musical schools and prominent figures in the Arab music scene, most notably the artist Arsenik, with whom he shares the same cultural roots of Upper Egypt (Sa'id), in addition to: Ahmed Kamel, Khaled Essam, Debi Gad, Shahin, Abyusif, Ahmed Mekky, Rashad Kambal, Big Sam, Silawi, Al-Akhras, Bu Kalthoum, Wegz, and Marwan Pablo. His writing style and lyrics were also influenced by the works of the artist Debio (El Debo) before his retirement.
